Emma can play her trumpet, and she’s apparently trying to teach Sofia and Dan how to play as well 🙂
We had a few hours layover at London Heathrow where it seems as though they’re hell bent on pissing off parents of small children. When we had to go back through security we had to recheck our liquids, well, Heathrow has a different policy for what liquids you can bring with small children vs the US and the rest of Europe it seems.
The security lines were backed up with pissed off parents waiting for the security agents to screen ALL of their liquids; and they weren’t putting the right things back in the right diaper bags on top of all that! The thing that flagged our bag was the small bottle of wine from the plane that Dan didn’t drink and put in the diaper bag…luckily we weren’t pressed for time 🙂
Our last day in the States was March 24, 2014. It was a very emotional day, and I am forever grateful to our family and friends that have helped us along the way. I am sooo glad the blue bonnets were blooming so I could get some pics before we left. Here I am 6 months pregnant with Sofia, Dan, Emma, and Anthony (Emma’s friend).
I know it’s been almost a year since we moved to Sweden, but we are just now getting “more time” to do other things than trying to settle in. It has been a bit of a rough year trying to get things figured out the Swedish way, and having to move into a new house within 2 months after moving to Sweden. They say what doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger…
We are very happy to be close to family though, and the neighborhood that we live in now is so wonderful and family friendly, so it seems to have worked out for the better.
Many things have happened so I will be posting some pics and videos of the past year, and trying to keep posts regularly. I’ll try for daily, but can’t really promise that 🙂
Emma keeps growing and maturing, and she just keeps amazing us every day. She is so independent, and awesome with quite a bit of sass. Just yesterday she was sitting by where Sofia was sitting and playing when she decided to push Sofia so she was laying on her back; she then says to me, “Look, she’s like a turtle” I was upset that she would push her sister over, but it was rather hilarious!
